Launching meeting, Dourdan (France)

The participants met in Dourdan to work on the initial project of the workshop SREA submitted by Vincent Commenne in the Call to Initiatives launched by the Alliance. This initial project pointed like major topic the dialogue between the stakeholders into an economic process. It consisted in launching five group-test of dialogue which would treat various contents related to the corporate social responsibility and would be used as a support to a methodological study on innovative dialogue approaches.

The SC aimed :

  • to validate the project collectively,
  • to give a progress report on the preliminary studies, registered in this project,
  • to position the project compared to to what has already been done in the field,
  • to define the topics which will have to be treated into the groups of dialogue which will follow
  • to program the dates of the groups of dialogue and of a synthesis meeting

In order to prepare the meeting of the SC, two studies had been carried out preliminary to this meeting:

  • To make an inventory (state of the art) of this field of the social responsibility of the economic actors: actions carried out, devices, stakeholders, achievements and limits. This study had to make it possible to validate the importance and the added value of the project.
  • To identify methods used or usable within the framework of the dialogue between people defending different interests, people of various cultures: various innovative approaches in terms of mediation/conciliation. This study had to make it possible to choose one or more working methods for the working groups

Following a period of reflection, the Steering Committee decided to carry out a preliminary survey aiming to identify the specific requirements of the SREA workshop in the five represented continents. The results of this research will point the way to the future work strategies for the workshop in line with the different needs identified per continent.
